Studio Policy In a Nutshell
Mission Statement:
Teaching the skills necessary to provide a lifetime of music making.
Studio Calendar:
Changes on an annual basis and will be provided at the sign up.
Studio Closures:
The studio is closed for all school holidays per the local school district's calendar, but will be open during any Professional Development Days that fall on regular lesson days.
Studio Events:
Each year the studio has two formal recitals and two informal performances.
Tuition:
Tuition for the year is calculated by how many weeks of lessons there are during the school year. That amount is divided by ten, which gives you your monthly tuition amount.
Referral Bonus:
For every new student you refer that enrolls in the studio, you will receive a coupon for $50 off your monthly tuition after they've had their first lesson.
Registration Fee:
There is a once-yearly studio registration fee of $40 per family, due with August’s tuition.
Sheet Music Purchases:
All music will be purchased by students from their favorite music retailer, and info on what to buy will be provided by Mrs. Kerns.
For beginning students, books cost between roughly $16 and $29 and will last from six months to a year, depending on how quickly the student progresses.
Make-up Policy:
Makeups will be given ONLY for lessons canceled by Mrs. Kerns. No exceptions.
If you are too sick to go to school, you are too sick to come to your piano lesson. Virtual lessons are available if needed.
Termination of Lessons/Probation:
Two weeks notice if you decide to terminate lessons is appreciated.
